Certainly their best work since Ultra. While still two or three songs heavy it is still a great listen. I feel the album would have benefited from simply removing Ghosts Again and Wagging Tongue. Both good songs in their own way but Ghosts sticks out it terms of being that much more poppy than any other song on the album and Wagging tongue, while having having a great electronic music sound, does have Dave singing with that more gravelly rock inflection that he has often incorporated on recent albums which I’m not really a fan of in general but also it just has a very flat vocal melodically speaking. But whatever way you look at it Memento Mori is a very good album that any fan should be happy 😁
