I give this show 2 out of 5, and that's only because of the excellence of the original Peter James stories. What's worst about it is the apparently blithe disregard of the characters as described in the books. Glen Branson is meant to be tall and he's not. Norman Potting is described as late middle aged & washed up, like a dinosaur; and he's not. But by far the worst is Cleo Morey who in the books is described as being tall and "strikingly beautiful " with long blonde "silky" hair who is "plummy & posh & confident". The actress playing her in the TV series is middle height with short brown hair and shy - this is nothing like the character! I don't feel like watching any more & I have only watched 3 episodes. It's a real disappointment that the people making the TV series haven't read the books! 😪
