In my opinion, Horizon 4 is the best racing game of all time. I grew up playing racing sims (f1 1998, GTR, GTR2, GT legends, Colin McRay and Dirt Rally, and some more recent ones like project cars and aseto corsa) but i also really enjoyed arcade racers, anything from NFS 2 to Most Wanted (Porsche Unleashed is my favorite). With all that said, I must admit that I became far more laid back recently and I really started playing Forza Motorsport since the 3rd installment. I really enjoyed how Forza always looked passionate about cars (though probably not as much about Motorsport, ironic as it may be... Grand Turismo is an awesome game that’s far more focused on the actual Motorsport, the 1st grand Turismo is the game that got me into racing games, I adore them all). Anyway, I remember playing FM4 and loving every second of it (especially the top gear/Jeremy Clarkson part) and all thinking that a street racing version of Forza would be my dream game... a game that I can play with a control but still feel thing’s like weight transfer. Well my dreams came true and I adored FH1. Enough about the background, Horizon 4 is a stunning game with an incredible car selection and awesome racing. It even pays tribute to other famous racing games in a way that made me emotional (something I never thought a racing game could do). It plays with nostalgia but who cares?! It does it in a very respectful, almost adoring way that you can’t help but like. If you are anything like me, you will love this game. It’s obvious not rFactor or even Grand Tourismo, so don’t expect that. But if you are looking for a fun street racing game that makes cars actually feel as realistic as they can feel with a controller, I think this is the best game ever.
