Awful game, Neil ruined the game and will ruin the show as well. He not only destroys the character relationships made in the first game but proceeds to make so many contradictions. For instance, they had to remove a document form the first game saying how they tried the surgery and failed numerous times. Is Joel wrong for trying to save his new daughter from certain death?? Does it make sense for Ellie to hate Joel from saving her from certain death??? NO! Ellie and Joel both discuss how hard loss is when it comes to people you love, so it makes no sense to have her alienate her father figure. Furthermore, Neil pushed the female writer from the first game; Amy hennig, who wrote a lot of the first game, out of naughty dog and then proceeded to make Ellie a lesbian, personally I have no issue with this but Neil has continued to shove diversity down our throats. Is that bad? Not at all but it gets to a point where you sacrifice the story for it. Anyway, back to them game, the writing is poor, the characters suck and you end up hating Ellie and feeling forced to like Abby. Play for yourself and see what I mean. On the bright side I can say fighting clickers, graphics and weapons mechanics was cool. That’s about it, seven years for a terrible game, 700 million for a terrible game. Fire Neil and get a competent person in Naughty dog to make a third game or remake it.
