Most people rating this low are saying it’s violent or they made a mistake taking their children. First, do not take your children because it’s violent. I expected that from director David Leitch— he’s literally known for his violent action films. Second, lots of folks are upset because how could Brad Pitt do a film like this? Have none of you guys seen Fight Club? David Leitch also had a hand in that film and has worked with Brad several other times in the past— he’s never been above an action film with lots of killing. I loved the style— had a lot of similarities to Atomic Blonde and the action sequences/choreography were very similar to John Wick. I know some folks are also upset that they deviated from the novel somewhat with different ethnicities/genders of characters— but I felt the vibe and essence of the characters from the novel were not totally lost. The prince was still annoying— almost more so being a girl. I honestly didn’t have an opinion going in and I thoroughly enjoyed this film. Just don’t bring your kids, your 60+ y/o in-laws, and expect some violence that somehow manages to be comedic.
