I will award a 3-star only due to Ms. Creed-Miles and Mr. Kinnaman. Otherwise, the overly-indulgent writers, directors and producers seem to have started with the intention of a multi-season series, irrespective of how well the plot actually played out. For that indulgence, the rating loses the other two stars.

Having read all of the Mitch Rapp novels, this movie does justice to none of them. The film characterizations by the actors is implausible. None have the gravitas to play the roles assigned. Slick, well-choreographed fight scenes do not make a movie, they should only advance a plausible plot. While the plot is obvious, somehow it lacks the necessary compelling force for the story line; I am not sure why that did not occur. Two hours spent waiting to be entertained.
