This movie was way better than I expected it to be. It is told from the perspective of his longtime girlfriend and is testimony to the power of a charming psychopaths ability to induce naive, cultish devotion despite the steady accumulation of real world evidence that he is a monstrous killer. The movie mostly portrays Bundy as he wanted himself to be perceived with the reality of who he really was as kind of a persistent background newsreel. As a viewer , knowing the real story, a part of you is astonished at how naive some of his supporters were..but Bundy always had some kind of semi-plausible explanation for everything that cast him in a negative light!! He was a victim of circumstance , the cops were incompetent, the cops were corrupt and framed him ..etc.Efron is flawless in this role and indeed I expect him to be the leading candidate to play Donald Trump when the time comes to tell his Extremely Wicked story!!
