Watched a few episodes of this! What is more interesting is reading all the reviews both from the professionals and the general public. There is a massive divergence with everything from this is trashy-soft-porn romance schtick to this is a sublime exploration of the subtleties of human sexual/romantic relationships. Essentially it seems to function as a Rorschach test to reveal more about the viewer than anything else. So here is my soul baring review!!! First : Casting! I am sure there is a universe where Daisy Edgar Jones is the dumpy , uninteresting , easy score. But I did not go to that school or live in that universe and I grew up in Ireland and survived High-school there. In my world she likely would have needed a baseball bat to fend off the line of enthusiastic suitors! Paul Mescal....well as a hetero-male i am not maybe the best qualified to express an opinion but if my wife left me for George Clooney or Brad Pitt I would kind of accept it..but Mescal ..not so much!! I find the treatment of female sexual desire very refreshing. I grew up in Ireland in the Seventies where the prevailing view was that women basically submitted to male desire but had no lustful impulses of their own. Thank God I moved to London and later Los Angeles where I received a corrective education on that score. To me one of the essential themes of this series is AUTHENTIC CONNECTION! When that happens humans become , to borrow a phrase from quantum mechanics, entangled for life and that connection endures really until death!!!

This movie was way better than I expected it to be. It is told from the perspective of his longtime girlfriend and is testimony to the power of a charming psychopaths ability to induce naive, cultish devotion despite the steady accumulation of real world evidence that he is a monstrous killer. The movie mostly portrays Bundy as he wanted himself to be perceived with the reality of who he really was as kind of a persistent background newsreel.As a viewer , knowing the real story, a part of you is astonished at how naive some of his supporters were..but Bundy always had some kind of semi-plausible explanation for everything that cast him in a negative light!! He was a victim of circumstance , the cops were incompetent, the cops were corrupt and framed him ..etc.Efron is flawless in this role and indeed I expect him to be the leading candidate to play Donald Trump when the time comes to tell his Extremely Wicked story!!

Feels like a video representation of a speech by Alan Greenspan. Plenty of noise but little substance and we are never going to get to the point. After three episodes I gave up.

This is a merry-go-round, pastiche tour of Hollywood in the late sixties with Tarantino's usual alternative history tacked on at the end.Despite all the bells and whistles it is ultimately like a boring museum tour. Plotless, characterless and at times threatening to be endless you find yourself wondering when is the real movie going to start.The real star of the movie is the dog who becomes the prime agent of the alternative ending!
