This is the biggest disappointment, even if they change the game from ruthless to a fighting chance. The combat gameplay mechanics are clunky and boring, whereas D4 has it better. Severely hindered by the new gym system and lack of progress, your character is annoying and frustrating because nothing flows except range builds. Dodge roll needs iframes asap. Melee is the worst decision to make in this game, and that's my play style, but I had to switch to Sorc to try the game and feel it out. I hope they at least continue to work on Poe1 and make it cross-play or cross-trade so the company doesn't die off. The hype will die in this game soon enough, even from the brainwashed players who are saying it's good, and this game will quickly lose players. It's a beta, I get that, but the problem isn't bugs or polishing. It's just the way the game plays. Content-wise, it's good. Fundamentally, it's the worst hack-and-slash game I have ever played. I say wait 6 months for the free release and see what happens. I will not turn this game on anytime soon or in the future unless it undergoes a major overhaul. GGG is a great company, but they have a very poor track record of managing poe1.
