I think Andrew Child doesn't understand Reacher at all... This was my first Andrew Child book... He made Reacher unnecessarily cruel (like breaking someone's thumb and attacking his neck for no reason), he has always been efficient. He did things that were needed to be done. Reacher doesn't work with others unless he absolutely has too especially when they are suspicious (like working with a guy to lift a locker, Reacher doesn't need that he can find anyone he wants) Reacher doesn't volunteer information. Reacher always knows what's coming. Reacher don't ask stupid questions like how did you know that? He arrives at correct conclusions on his own. He doesn't think that he is the best and can do everything, but he thinks he is good enough. Reacher was high on ego in this book.
About the rule - 'People live me alone, I live them alone' Reacher has never lingered on with pointless fights. He only stops to stop injustice, to help people can't help themselves.
There are so many things. Andrew Child would do better if wrote about some other protagonist. Not Reacher, he just doesn't understand Reacher
