Jeopardy encourages those who can engage their brain power in knowledge that is all-encompassing...if you don't know who Josef K was, don't worry because you will have a chance to answer a question on Lost shortly...just enjoy it, shout out answers, be a part of it, get some right, some wrong, get to know the characters and their idiosyncrasies...enjoy the amenable host who is not vulgar or supercilious...and know that whatever else happens in life, there's always somewhere you can go where no-one will judge you for not knowing where Napoleon was born...

It's full of annoying characters acting in exasperating ways...every now and then a joke manages to survive the over-the-top onslaught...so, that'll be modern TV, then...
