Bly couldn't fly. A softened blow, the story had so much potential. If you have already watched Haunting of Hill House and you're searching for something equally grim, Bly Manor will disappoint you. It's soft horror. It's not bad in the sense that the story was quite compelling till the penultimate episode. But, the closure lacked juice. Anticlimactic, a waste of hours in story building. I honestly had expected the climax to blow my mind, only to find warmth uncalled for. If I had to describe the experience - it tastes like the bland soda you forgot in the fridge. It was aerated at first, but now it has lost all the fizz and has become sugary water.
Not perfectly splendid.
