I totally missed the fairy tale connections, but they were there. But I'm not so sure that it was a good idea. Ms.Ronan was her usual high form, but Ms Blanchett seemed to be lost in the snow.

I don't remember seeing the movie. I wll request it on Netflix. It's the music that interests me. The song became a jazz standard. Sarah Vaughn even did scat to it,rare for her. But no one seems to know who wrote the lyrics for it.

certainly worthy of a watch with fine acting, filming, and music, but a screenplay that could have used editing. It's too long for a message that's undefined.
