This album transformed me when I was a teenager in the 1980's. It has a darkly romantic sound and feel to it that you don't hear from music anymore. There are Hints of eroticism and violence in this album that give it a certain edginess. However it is never vulgar or crass like the music you hear nowadays which is mostly garbage.
