Shocking, yet sadly not unexpected. The rush to clear cases and get arrests results in young vulnerable victims being manipulated and arrested after the trauma of sexual assault. Anyone who doesnt believe this gaslighting of victims happens should read the case of Marie Adler, and there is an excellent mini series 'unbelievable' that tells her story and shows how inconsistencies happen through no fault of the victim. Why, in the 21st century, is there not a special victims unit trained to deal with these kind of crimes in every district, heck even just one officer with special training to understand the psychological state of these poor women and men post attack. I hope this documentary will instigate some changes to police policy and stop this travesty of justice.
