I’ve completed the game and have around 185hrs of playtime. I wouldn’t say it’s bad but it’s def not finished and They took everything great that they did with origins and odyssey and completely took a dump on it. The loot system is gone. Now you get a few weapons for each type and about a dozen armor sets. They did add in set bonuses which is cool and all but with the limited supply of gear you can only make so many builds. I would like them to go in a nioh, nioh 2 style direction with their loot system and weapons and armor sets. The maps have been downsized so there’s less exploration. In odyssey you could literally meander around for hours with no quest objective and be entertained just exploring. I quit using my horse and just started running everywhere to try to capture the magic that odyssey had. Also because the horse seems to have a glitch where it slows to a snails pace when walking on an incline. The combat system while similar to odyssey, feels sluggish and your characters movement feels hindered compared to the fast pace play we used to have. The bugs are terrible. The game crashes every 20-30min for some reason. It’s just bad. I hope they make another one but go back to what they were trying to do with odyssey. Honestly ghost of Tsushima did a better job at making something that looks and feels like a ac game than these jacklegs. If I could give it no stars I would. Just terrible. Should rename it to something like “kinda a Viking rpg.” It’s not an ac game at all.

I love this game. The massive map is great for exploration. The combat system could use some fine tuning but I like that it enables you to play at fast pace and at the same time choose your openings and also makes you utilize blocks and parries. Naval combat is once again a welcomed addition. The loot system is pretty cool as well. Pretty much all of the rpg elements that have slowly made their way into the game are wonderful additions. This makes my top 3 for the ac games for sure.
