Uninspired buildup, abrupt main/sub-character deaths, a cut-throat plot, and a slow and boring road to revenge. Hard for me to imagine this even coming from Naughty Dog. After clearing the level, I was just massively bored and overwhelmed, and I couldn't empathize with any of the characters one bit. Well, still a little, but I could only understand their motivations, not empathize with them. I'm sorry to say that Naughty Dog's portrayal of the main characters was too superficial this time, although the "villain", Abby, was given a lot of attention. The portrayal of her, but it's the over portrayal of her that causes the player to have an extremely different kind of cut and hate. I understand that the writers wanted to portray the player as a daughter seeking revenge against her father, and unfortunately, it only succeeded on the surface! as I said before, I can understand, but not empathize with the emotions of these characters. The whole game is full of boring political correctness, ridiculous Asian discrimination, and poor writing, the characters are only minimally drawn, and the plot is so drawn out that I can only give it a failing grade.
