The great Kate has never been better. Even with her makeup scrubbed away and wearing rural grunge attire she still radiates beauty in a more traditional way. Her acting here has such nuance that's beyond stature and dialect. She immerses herself into Mare. It's mesmerizing to watch. The other actors are spot on. This town feels like a real place. This is as good as TV gets....

Friend : "I heard you paint houses?" Me : "Yes.... but not when there's a 3 hour Scorcese epic starring De Niro, Pesci & Pacino on Netflix to watch. Hire another painter or paint the damn house yourself." LOL. Seriously, though.... this is a masterpiece & a masterclass in directing, writing and especially acting. What a pleasure to see these 3 icons play off each other. What a great story, an epic tale. Bravo. ☆☆☆☆

Loved this movie. It's a virtual time machine that transports you back to 1969. The art direction is dead on. The soundtrack is a wisely chosen bevy of classics that accentuate the scenes or play ironic counter point to them. I loved the interplay between Rick & Cliff, actor & stunt double, played to perfection by DiCaprio & Pitt. I could be wrong, but I think QT borrowed from Fight Club here.... the beta man & his alpha alter ego.... two men each as the flip side of one coin. Brilliantly done there. My only complaint is that the Sharon Tate character (Margot Robbie) deserved more screen time & dialogue. Otherwise...☆☆☆☆
