I loved the fact that they put actual colorized footage and actual voices from real people participating in the second world war. However, there are many inaccuracies. The producers make it feel like the British were fighting on their own against the nazi's, leaving out important historical facts. Canadians, Australians and New Zealanders were always fighting by their side and there is no mention about them. Additionally, given that I am Greek, I know that Greece did NOT have a weak resistance. We fought the Italians and never let them in, and only when Musolini went back to Hitler asking him for help, did they manage to take over us. The Germans needed more time than they thought to eventually capture Greece, and this is why they had to fight winter in the Soviet Union which played a significant role in their loss. There is a reason why Winston Churchill, one of the greatest leaders in World War II in my opinion, said "From now on, we will not say Greeks fight like heroes, but heroes fight like Greeks". You can't just leave out a phrase like this by such a powerful leader out of a historical documentary. I recognise that without the British, Soviet Union and the USA, the war would probably have another outcome, but making a documentary just about these 3 countires when other nations fought as hard as they did, is a disgrace and an insult to the memory of those who gave their lives for their nation.
