Fine acting, cinematography, and special effects fail to make this a good movie.
I'm a horror genre lover, and I kept wanting to like this movie, but it kept pushing me away. Every time I was on the brink of the suspension of disbelief, the film would jolt me into a thought of ""Well that's dumb" or "What?" OR "Why?"
I kept waiting for that 180° turn that would pull me in and have me engaged in the plot. That never happened. There's good work to be seen here in front and from behind the camera, but it never comes together into a film that compells.
