One of the best games I’ve played in a long time. Funny, exciting, challenging and a prime example of epic story-telling. Prior to playing, I was slightly disappointed to hear it isn’t an RPG. Now having finished it, I can say it’s the most absorbing story I’ve ever played - it made me feel like I was literally part of it. Like I was in a VR world even though I was playing on my console. The characters are so endearing and the voice acting is superb. I struggle to find the right words to describe how well the creators, designers and developers managed to add all the right ingredients to produce such a perfect game. And finally, the combat. It was plain awesome. So intense, and had you fighting these huge beasts at times - although not being a horror game/genre whatsoever, it had been terrified with adrenaline running at certain points. Parry an attack and be amazed by spectacular finishing moves. I was like “daaaahmn!” several times watching Cal cut through enemies with incredible style. It was a really fun experience learning to calm down, focus on the enemy and his/her attacks, and creatively use all my different moves and abilities to reach my goal.
