My six year old began to pick up this book and read it over a few days. I asked him last night what he thought of the book. He replied, “77 fragments of a familiar ruin? I love it!” Oh, I said. Why? He replied, “it’s like a whole story broken up into little parts, and put back together, but not in order”, then he paused. “And it’s really funny sometimes!”
Of course, he’s only six, so some parts don’t resonate as they might were he older, but I think he nails it.
I really liked this book. A lot of relatable human experiences, humour, mirthful insights, and stark imagery. Short, and easy to appreciate.
