Acting, especially by Peck did not seem authentic. Definitely not one of his best performances. However, I’m thinking it’s because of poor direction from the director. A few plot holes too . The other actors were pretty good, considering, so maybe Peck just wasn’t in the mood for this type of character. Disappointing, I must say.

Some of it was thrilling and kept me on the edge of my seat, but the story, I felt was weak and over the top. Haven’t seen Elizabeth Moss in anything before, and I probably won’t be rushing to do so. Overall, I think this film and story had potential, but somehow it felt awkward, like it was trying to hard.

Overrated, especially the sequels. Lots of overacting and plenty of plot holes. When adapting a book into a film, one should consider those who haven’t read the book and be sure that when they watch the film they are not shaking their heads because of the unanswered questions that are raised through plot holes. Besides, that. It’s a pretty predictable storyline, and there is nothing that made it stand out.

Enjoyed it for a while, then the Jenny character just became ridiculous. Also felt that some characters were brought in to be ‘tokens’, with no real interesting storylines. There was such passion between Jenny and Marina, but that relationship amounted to nothing, which was disappointing, even though for some reason, they brought Marina in for cameos. And all Jenny did was give her the stare of death. Nevertheless, I enjoyed my favorites: Bette and Tina, Alice and Dana, and Shane, who was the most consistent character, and loved Helena.

Tiresome. Only watched it for Eva Green, but even she couldn’t make it palatable. What a pity. With the right screenwriter, this could have been an amazing show.
