I don’t understand the hype around The Truman Show. This was one of the slowest, most predictable movies I’ve ever sat through. The entire premise is revealed almost immediately, so there’s no suspense or intrigue—just two hours of watching Jim Carrey wander around in a fake world, looking confused. The pacing drags, the so-called “emotional moments” feel forced, and honestly, I just didn’t care what happened to Truman. By the time the movie ended, I was more relieved than anything. If you want a thought-provoking film, look elsewhere. If you want entertainment, definitely look elsewhere. This was a total waste of time.
