I obsessed over the books and am currently reading the 4th book. They simplified the movie too much and made it into a more kids version love story.
I was mad 3 minutes into it when they replaced Jake's friend with the store employee, more mad when when they said Emma can float when in the book, Emma has fire powers. Which makes sense in the movie plot, but the movie plot is so wrong.
It's like they new they weren't going to make any more movies, so they created their own plot to get the gist and a way too happy ending. Should've kept to the book and did 1 movie for each book like any other movie based on books have done.
