I browsed the one star reviews and it quickly became clear that none of them have any idea about this story. I personally loved it and you should watch it and make up your own mind. Don't listen to one star reviews as I can say they have zero idea what the show is about.
The first episode builds tension and has some fantastic horror sequences and surprises.
Looking forward to the rest of the show.
