Now, I'm only really writing this because of all the overly negative and overly positive reviews. Though it's not a revolutionary book, it's a good read if you're there for pure gore and the true insanity of some people.
I won't lie, some bits are a bit much, but I do enjoy the descriptive language. To some people, it's a hard read from the way things are written, but you need to take into perspective that this is translated from Spanish. Others say, "It's full of plot holes" and whatnot. Of course. It's realistic to someone actually telling us this story. They won't know everyone and have an answer for all of what's happening in the world. We have a partially unreliable narrator, and he absolutely doesn't want to be here. Everything seems to be for the good of himself.
Now, you can disregard this review. I'm probably a younger reader, but I've read a decent number of books and say I'm pretty literate. Have fun reading!
