Disappointed to say the least. I am an Agatha Christie fan and really enjoyed murder on the orient express, so went out and got Death on the Nile to read before watching the movie.
If you compare to the book, the plot is hardly at all the same plot, you are missing important characters, you change the characters personalities and identities, you rename characters that are there, you change their narrative all for no reason to help the plot in any way, you even change the outcome of major parts to affect how the story comes to an end.
If you don’t want to compare the book and just look from a movie perspective, it moves slow in the beginning in the wrong way, it’s filled with filler, you don’t get enough time to know the characters and get a connection to form your own ideas and theories, it’s confusing how theories are made and why characters would even do certain things or even have motives because you don’t even know who they are, then twists in weird ways, and then when it gets to the middle of the plot it moves too quickly and the finale is anticlimactic and you don’t even really care so much because you don’t get the motives as well.
Would highly suggest reading the book, the book is much much better.
