How do you have Eddie Murphy in a movie, and make him unfunny? How? The topic of the film is so ripe for good jokes, but all we get is the most shallow tropes. The writing is not great, to me it just feels like preaching the entire time. I'm not sure about what....except that Black Americans have it hard and are way cooler than everyone else....I mean, ok. But, the dynamic between blacks and jews was not well drawn out here....and it could have been. Again, how do you waste Eddie Murphy like that?
