One of the greatest CBM and one of the greatest movies of all time. Matt Reeves along with Greg Frasier (cinematography) and Michael Giacchino (score) makes us feel the gloomy atmosphere of Gotham filled with criminals with beautiful visuals and it's sound of pouring rain throughout the movie. Unlike previous Batman movies, where villains used to be more talked about or more loved in movies, this movie manages to do the opposite and gives us a more Batman "pov" driven story. Like Jack Nicholson's Chinatown, Matt Reeves makes the audience watch the entire movie from Batman's pov who takes us upon a journey of intense investigation with the amazing Gordon and proves himself as the world's best detective. Robert Pattinson no doubt is the best live-action Batman till date who manages to provide a wide range of emotions with his eyes behind that cowl. Also, I feel Paul Dano's Riddler is my 2nd favourite CBM villain after Ledger's joker. This movie is not your casual CBM movie where you expect constant action scenes and fun. It explores deep into the corruption of Gotham and how Batman goes through a character development from being "vengeance" to providing "hope" to people of Gotham so this movie is certainly not for everyone. Also to conclude I believe The Batman is the best "Batman" movie while Dark Knight is the best "overall" movie.
