SPOILERS INCLUDED*** Finally saw this film this last weekend with my boyfriend. I have to say; I think the acting was superb, especially the leading actors, Florence Pugh and Harry Styles. I know this movie has mixed reviews and I can see why. The premise and setup of the story is definitely interesting and I think the whole utopian 1950s-housewife living style was executed perfectly and definitely showcased how problematic and domineering to women that lifestyle was in real life. My complaints about this movie are only that the ending could've been resolved more; they could've shown more of Alice's life following the simulation rather than just flashes of her dancing around very basic white girl like (I'm allowed to say this as a pretty basic white chick). We were given the reasoning for why everything happened, but what was up with that car chase scene and the whole touch-the-glass-exit-the-simulation aspect? Also, what's up with Chris Pine's philosophical non-sense lines? My boyfriend was laughing about it and said "Every line Chris Pine has doesn't even mean anything, it's just philosophical mumbo jumbo." I will say though, that dining table sexy scene, whew, that was interesting to see in a movie theater nonetheless! ;) (Don't bring your kids to watch this lol). Overall, I'd say I did enjoy the film and it was worth seeing, but it did leave me wanting a better ending/resolution.

My favorite Bratz movie. The fantasy elements, the garden knome comedy, the light and dark pixies, the unicorns, the fairy world glasses that Jade and Sasha use, and all of it is awesome. I liked to see the fantastical side of Bratz and how they always are willing to help a friend in need. There can be some scary scenes so I would say this is for kids 10+ because the dark pixies are a bit creepy lol.

This Bratz movie is pretty good. It’s definitely for older kids though, I would say maybe 10 and up just because some scenes can be scary for younger kids. I watched this again as an adult who is an English major in college and found myself analyzing each story told by the girls. I noticed that they learned something valuable from the scary stories; Sasha learned to not be vain, Megan learned to be grateful for her sister even if she doesn’t always agree with her, Yasmin learned not to be selfish, Jade learned not to be prideful and to not conceal her fears, and Cloe, well she learned how to beat a talking dog in the dominance game. Watch it, especially for Halloween.
