The script for this was genuinely awful. The film makers must consider their audience to be incredibly unintelligent as the dialogue was so simplistic and cliche even from the 'smart' characters. The film introduced a whole host of new characters but spent no time on developing any emotional tie to them as the scenes cut so quickly from one to another. I would say the acting was poor but I think the fault is down to the script rather than delivery. I don't give up on films easily but this was so rubbish that I stopped watching 50 minutes in. It's sad to see this dreadful sequel tarnish such a great original film.
