Bravo! Harry and Meghan open up about how their separate childhood experiences shaped them, who they each were before they met, and how their early courtship progressed. Harry's analysis of the institution that is the royal family, its public tax based funding and its dependency on the favor of British tabloids was very illuminating. The ravenous nature of the tabloids and how their relentless pursuit/creation of "royal stories" set up a competition between the PR branches of the royal house was such a revelation!
Hearing the perspective of Meghan's friends, her Mom and her niece on their experiences as they watched someone they dearly loved being isolated by the royal institution and emotionally abused by the tabloids was moving. Harry's struggles to understand the burdens Meghan was facing, his efforts to try to get the royal institution to deal humanely with the very real needs of his young family and his ultimate realization that their only real option as a family was to finally walk away are shared with us. God bless Tyler Perry for giving these good hearted young people a safe way to escape from the deeply abusive situation they were in. He gifted us with the blessing of having this sweet family be Americans rather than Canadians or New Zealanders or South Africans. I will be forever grateful to him for that.
