Absolutely adore this movie. Watched it with my mother and three younger siblings, thinking it would be some boring cartoon-style thing. I was pleasantly surprised. The animation is stunning, and the art style has an expressive, cozy feel. The characters were incredibly lovable and the story was sweet.
Anyone complaining about the story being "woke" has no idea what they're talking about it. It was a representation of modern day kids, who are quite aware of the issues facing society. And the movie wasn't about any progressive narrative, it was about the importance of family and love, two things that should support a pro-family view, right?
All in all, it's a lovely little movie that I can see myself coming back to every year.
