I have enjoyed watching this show! I think Terrence and Taraji brought their "A" game to the table! It's my believe that the depiction of a strong family bond (despite a thug life) has been the foundation of the shows success!! Yes, it deals with contemporary issues but it's the strong family (and their love for each other) that has it's viewers tuning in! Just as in life, (on screen) there has to be some winners and even though there has been twists turns...highs and lows- Lucious's and Cookies love has lasted. But now that the writers have decided to introduce baby mama drama into the lives of the Lyons, I don't know that I will be a frequent viewer. This type of family dynamic is complex! Why? Because the child-adult almost always has abandonment issues! And, the "core" storyline of the Lyons (that made it so popular) is that "ride or die" bond of their "nuclear" family!!!
