As a fan of both of her series this is the second standalone book I've read. One that deserves to be a limited series. Hopefully Netflix will pick it up and stay true to the book...no international versions. This book captivated me. Triggered as well, But I could not put it down. When I finished it I just sat there and cried. I agree about Claire but I think Claire's personality fits with her backstory. And she came through in the end. It's an incredible book. Suspense and twists that you never see coming. As always she never ever fails to impress in her vast knowledge of her subjects. Her novel False witness was the first standalone I read and it is one you cannot put down as well. Her books highlight violence but that's because violence needs to be highlighted in our society against women. I applaud her. And for now I think I need a little light TV maybe Dexter 😁
