Doesn’t hold up to the classic whatsoever. Great cast couldn’t carry the poor writing. Maybe your very young children will get a laugh or a little scare. It’s lackluster imo.

If you’re looking for a dark, drama filled movie with an A list cast, this is perfect. I didn’t think Tom Holland could play a role this serious, and to my surprise he more than delivered. The end, although criticized, came full circle and I was very well entertained.

I can’t understand the high praise honestly. It was shot well, but as far as ED goes this is not touching the 2013 version. I guess rotten tomatoes gives good reviews to any all female cast. It’s really not worth the $20 rental, save a buck and pirate it, the scariest parts are all in the trailer.
