I think it's become rather formulaic. there's too much personal angsting, ellie bishop is huge disappointment. she was toted as having some sort of special ability to see patterns where others could not, but ever since that introductory episode all she seems to do is mope around empathising and spouting cliches. Wilma valdema, or 'tony lite', is not a patch on the real thing, tony we miss you but yes, it was time for you to move on. they tried to replace your careless attitude to love and throwaway wit, but it just comes out creepy.
The final scenes where the team member of the week troops down to Gibbs's basement for some homespun wisdom - erk! Now we know why Gibbs has been silent all these years, he really does have nothing to say. I am not trolling you, i loved the show once. I see now that the effortless way the characters worked together for twelve seasons was great casting but now too many of the people who made it the special thing that it was, have left.
