I had high hopes for this book, and unfortunately, it did not live up to the hype, or at least in my opinion. The beginning of the book sounded promising as did the chapters regarding her life in New York City at the beginning of the book. However, the author was very verbose, and it seemed to me that many of the chapters in the middle and towards the end went on, and on and on, the same thing again and again. In my very uninformed opinion, the book could have been half as long and have been just as interesting. I was also unsatisfied with the ending. I won’t spoil it for those who read the reviews, but it left me with many questions.
