24 is a good show that both positive and negative points. It is entertaining but at times is all over the place. Hard to imagine so much stuff can happen inside a 24 hour period. The worse point is the extensive use of torture used to make the bad guys talk. It seems it is the only way they approach interrogation even at times torturing their own staff because they believe they have done something wrong. Also Jack Bauer repeated refusal to follow orders and due process makes it unlikely that he would keep his job in law enforcement. So if you are looking for realism you might want to look elsewhere.
