I've never been more disappointed with a show than with this one. Especially considering the $180 million dollar budget coming from a multi-billion dollar company.
How Kathleen Kennedy is able to keep her job has to be recorded in the top 10 most mysterious occurrences. The Acolyte has insulted what George Lucas created. Disney has a way of copying ideas, changing the setting, and slapping a different title on it. Thing about that is the fact that sooner of later, your audience is going to start to notice and start calling you out on the garbage you give them.
The writing seemed rushed and very predictable, and sloppy at times. Honestly, they should've made a movie about the greeks if they were going to start incorporating witches with a thread. YET AGAIN, another thing they stole from Greek mythology.
The ending was honestly a bit confusing and I just didn't get the whole thing about creating force sensitive children. Isn't that what makes Anakin Skywalker special?
I also was very disappointed by the acting. It was melancholy and depressing, it gave me a headache. I definitely believe a lot of the plot could have been improved such as the mention of their "thread". This special thread of theirs was never mentioned or even referenced in the entire fandom until now.
Also, why was there so much kung-fu? Obviously there were lightsabers, but it was sort of pushed to the side and forgotten with the rest of the plot.
But most of all, what's with all the boss lady feminism machine that Disney is turning star wars into? As a woman, it is really nice to introduce some new females into the fandom...but now your just over doing it. The whole boss lady thing is over hyped and not really necessary in this day and age. Modern doesn't necessarily mean women.
The acolyte is making the sequels look like masterpieces.
