After a long battle with my addiction, I sobered up in 2006. After completing the detox program, I went to a local bookstore to find something to help keep my attention away from my thoughts. This was the first book I saw, so I picked it up. This book changed my outlook on my situation, and taught me a new way of thinking I hadn't looked at before. It was simple, to the point, and hit directly on the head of the things that were troubling me! This book, in a way, saved me from me.
