William Bartholomew (Will)

Not sure why those rating it so highly are lying to themselves and others, you'll notice they rave about the atmosphere building, caracter creation, and props/effects usage but nothing about the story itself because it's not exactly there..... The reviews telling of it being a quick way to fall asleep is surprisingly accurate, go in with an open mind and you'll find yourself waking up to the follow-up Disney page recommending other Staw Wars shows/movies/specials of theirs - it's astonishing how dull it gets (like the lame parts of Mandalorian & Bobo Fett) and stays like that. The story lacks any sensible progression and the characters lack most forms of developement, we end up justfollowing around some random guy (Cassian Adnor) who has no clue what he's doing or why - neither do we - so it's easy to remain confused the whole time, I was forced to give up after the 6th or 7th episode like a bad drawn-out book. It's not like Star Wars as we know it and that's fine, it doesn't need to be, I see the concenpt as an aspect of the galaxy we've not yet seen but all it is is proof that throwing all the money in the world at a series/movie means nothing if there's no progression or meaning behind it. Sad waste of great actors and incredibly emersive settings when execution renders them all feeling more like 2D cardboard cut-outs :/

Very poorly scripted film with poor acting. Everything about the movie is very 1970s and while the plot is good the dialog in every single instance is poorly conceived AND poorly executed. There's no sense of the surrounding danger in 90% of the verbal interactions (all conversions don't match the scene/atmosphere in delivery while most lines of the script don't even match the scenes anyways) and each character's arch has minimal consistency making the movie feel very "off", watching this movie is like seeing someone without their shadow. I saw it years ago but didn't remember it, I see why because nothing from it is really memorable except the opening sequence. 75% of the film is just conversations between soldiers but not in any meaningful ways or in any form that progresses the story much so then when you get to the action you feel no sense of loss for the men in action. You want to enjoy it but find yourself saying, "Huh?" whenever you're not lifting an eyebrow in slight confusion.

Very graphic horror, minimal comedy. Definitely not for a random Foo Fighters fan, you'll only like it if you love bloody horror.
