Did not like. I think it should have been implemented as a mobile game tbh. Everything is vague and simple it would have been a good idea as such. And i get thats somewhat the point as a platform, one-way game but there is nothing really behind it. The story is what youd expect (just the same bland storyline youve seen a thousand times before) and it MAY be a fun game to platinum and ideal for 20 minutes play time after a different competitive game; you are getting exactly what you'd expect from this game just from looking at the cover so not much can go wrong. Though, i despise it because the games selling point is as once over Samurai Story where you become in touch with Japan. Dojos,commentary and writing etc but i just find it stressful which is not an affect this type of game wants to have. There are collectibles everywhere and without constantly looking at a guide i know i will miss a few in each chapter despite how linear everything is. This is a needless hassle that i did not want to have to do on this sort of game. Also, nothing is captivating or intruging as you might expect so theres nothing to oppose the feeling of slight stress and anger towards the game. I really think this undermines one of the main selling points towards the game which is the trophy guide. Also, i hate the combat. The controls are pretty much the same in any other sword fighting game. L1 to block, square for light attack and triangle for heavy, just like Ghost of Tsushima. I thought this way they made sure to keep the hollow, simple, quick 4 star game they intended. I think the fact that it was on the montly free games gave it enough traction to avoid wasting their time on another Gollum catastrophe as its a small team of developers. Unfortunately, i soon found out how much i hate the parry timing in this game, it is so uneven and unsmooth i knew this was going to be a problem. Sometimes you successfully parry when they have their sword above their head for a prolongued time and not when they are actually striking you. Other times its a different story and it completely devestated the other aspect of the game i might have been interested in which is the combat. And i feel like thats saying something because the combat is: move forward, block or parry, press square or triangle to strike back which is fine and understandable because it does not try to advertise otherwise but the timing on the parry being so varied and unadaptable has thrown it off. Overall, i think that this was a very simple game but those two small things (which i really believe to just be unthought of because of the small company) has ruined it for me. This is what you risk when creating something so simple, there is lot more at stake with slight things out of place.

I find this game one of the most efficent ways to waste £4. Other than Creed which is debatable, there are no other worthwhile boxing games to play and i think its a genre that is quite neglected. However, i dont think a "game" can just be made in a gap in the market and merely trick people in buying something which you could make yourself in a day with simple coding skills. The whole game is to be greeted by a PS2 looking menu screen with 3 characters with different stats in stamina, speed and strength. Though, they mean nothing as they are not going to influence the "gameplay" in any form, they are just there because its simple to add in this 3 hour speedrun made game. Next is the match: there is no usage of the sticks in this game and so, no movement, instead you are spawned extremely close to your opponent. The usable buttons are X, square and circle for jab, hook and uppercut. You are also told that holding L2 R2 are the controls for blocking but that blatantly doesn't work. You just spam those buttons and your characters throw very un-ammusing punches as if this were the first time they ever punched, especially the uppercut which looks more like a celebration. You do this in an extremely pixelated setting with merely nothing but a 2d backdrop of a crowd behind you. Then you see who loses first, this will include falling down in the position of an ironing board like a feather and perhaps getting back up and repeat. Overall, there is nothing that can be critisised in this game because that is what the game is : a critisism. As if mocking you for thinking you might spend even 5 minutes on a boxing game just because its an empty genre.

One of the worst games ive ever played. As a whole the entire meaning of the game is pointless where there is no time in the timeloop game, instead, you advance time yourself so it cannot be hardly described as such. Whilst time isnt an issue in game you play what at first is a fairly satisfying game in your own with smooth gameplay and mechanics; though, soon later youre indulging in a mind-boggling repititive game of shoot everything objective shoot everything objective shoot everything etc. And the objectives prodimently consistent of listening to a tape or picking up a document and the a reward for all your troubles, a 10 second cutscene at the end of they day once youve conpleted all the visionary missions. At points its almost like the game plays itself as if one of those interactive movies on netflix which all have poor reviews. In doing this, you find stealth is encouraged but a waste of time as there is few stealth animations and EVERY single enemy is the exact same just cannon fodder that 3 shots you with a rifle at the start of the game until you infuse any weopon that doesnt jam every 5 seconds and need to reload twice in a row and they become meaningless. Also, the one shot kill feature removes any value to the platinum trophy. Overall, the game is simply not immersive enough to do anything but delete it or quickly complete it. There are no collectibles or side missions or interactions or anything other than missions to do and documents to pick up in a small map which you transverse every other centimetre squared which doesnt have a bomb on it (because they are littered all other the map as soon as you complete an objective in the area) at least 10 times because you constantly come back to the same place removing any sense of completion. Its just feels like something might be interesting but its just so linear in every aspect that youre bored after an hour. This is especially true for the online feature in which the only feature that compells you is to prolongue another player in their boring, lifeless journey because youre mad at it. Playing as julianna is not rewarding in any other way and deserves no coverage whatsoever and you can switch to single player anyway , theres just no sense of accomplishment in anything you do in this game. Also, AI is so stupid you can just stand in any doorway and theyll come through one after another relying on the few guns in the game that feel so linear, neglected and un-unique. You dont build any connection with the characters and humor is the same thing written in different words every time. Colt is not funny. And all the immersiveness in the game is relying on the menu which you constantly come back to and progress time, change a weopon, pick an objective, look at clues, and the excuse for side missions which are meaningless and shouldnt be descibed as such. You can kill every vissionary if you chose to watch a youtube video there is no need to prolongue yourself with the dead end story nevermind the side missions. Put battery here,kill,put battery here,kill now heres you reward, a golden gun 🫨🫨 well that was fun, now moving onto running down some other mine littered path scapeing rocks like a mountain goat until you get to your tunnels and progress time and repeat again. The tunnels truly are the most unwanted third wheel and all essence of this game doesnt exist! Stupid,boring,underperformed

Evil Genius 2: World Domination

My favourite game series of all time. 1 TWD 2 RDR2 3 Skyrim. For a QTE game to securely best a game with the prestige of RDR2 is truly remarkable. First of all, the art style is amazing. Its the perfect balance between comic and real life and im glad Telltale didn't decide to make it black and white. The environments always look stunning and life-like but you can see all the effort in the cross hatchings etc if youre looking for that. Otherwise, you are memorised by how relatable everything seems. The whole backstory from the previous games leading up to this game deserve limitless praise. Though, specifically to the final season, there is still so much that can be said. Clementine is the main selling point as the greatest gaming character of all time. She is so likeable and the perfect character you want to play as; she is the kind-hearted, sweet pretty girl she looks like if you want her to be but a brutal, cunning menace otherwise. This is because no game is as good as Telltale at making player-decided storys. Sometimes, if you replay the story, there are decisions that have less effect then you think they would when picking the other choice but somehow its still so captivating and on your first playthrough, you feel like your story may be 1 in a million if not for a singular ending and Telltale does such an extraodinary job at that. Also, the game does so well at drawing emotion from you, its the only game to make me cry. This is because of how relatable and realistic everything is, from scheming cannibals in season 1 to reinhibited slave labour in season 4. The juxtaposition between the cool art and 18 rated events is perfect. This is mainly due to to Clementine as she is easily admired yet so relatable. She is extremely athletic and i dont think people realise it, she plays football in season 1 and wears a baseball cap throughout the series. Not alot of tell but you cant see this unless you play the game. This is so well- made in relatability as she does these things but not like Lara Croft who does impossible feats all the time. Instead, Clem uses her super smarts, charisma and athleticism and precisely, cunningly uses them in different situations. You see this as an effect of the apocalypse as well with her incredible durability to go alongside her genetical prowess. This is what makes the game so fun, you can play as the scavenging survivor Clem is in the most calculating fashion. You can really grow attached to her and it draws mental stimulation from you to want to pretend what you would do in those circumstances. Though, behind the screen you can never get bored of using her to deceive people or build relationships. And yet the game does not pretend she is without weaknesses, you lose a grapple to Abel, a skinny , wiry man until she uses her surroundings to defeat him. It does enough to remove plot armour. You see her athleticism in her unparalleled endurance and rapid speed. Her intelligence through her decisive actions and unbending leadership. You even see her ego at times as she knows how easily she can best you. This is what you would expect from a skinny, apocalypse surviving, ruthless girl rather than brute strength and constant unrealistic chance events. If i had enough characters i could praise to the end of time but this is the main factor why the game is so successful and that realism and realisticness is portrayed in every sense of the game, start to finish.

Would have liked the idea 7.5/10 maybe but the switch of the accepeted X button on PS to jump was switched to O. Truly a horrendous idea only done as a trademark but now i cannot play without constantly jumping over something or ducking behind it because it feels so unnatural for the universally accepted X not being jump anymore. This alone made me stop playing hate it when developers try and switch buttons to try and be different because i can never work it just feels wierd. Also, the story was poor and linear with no particualar goal in mind but even as a co-op game the weopons are so base and items on the floor show information about it ehcih covers half the scrren which is really immersive. Very linear parkour and not something that you would ever want to play more than 10 hours with your friends. Unique but wierd shooting mechanics takes the fun out of the game
