A look into the great depression and the dust bowl years and the suffering of good solid midwest and southern families from all walks of life finding themselves living in squalor having lost everything while supporting themselves on migrant workers wages while being treated as the dregs of society in the ditch camps of California after being promised a better life out west. The 1930s were probably some of the hardest times in our country.
