The subject matter is fascinating . However the translation from the authors native French has resulted in an English version that torturous to read . Overly verbose , unnecessarily long sentences and use of words that lead the reader into concentration nightmare . Tortious and meandering . It is clear that the translation from French to English was not expertly done . Unfortunately the book lost its appeal to me.
