I brought this book for possible information on the family that owned my mother-law's family. What I found was a valuable resource to provide plugs to American history that's not taught in school and more insight into the soul of some men. This book is well written, well illustrated and very well researched. If you are looking for a resource to add to your library and to give you and your family more of an insight into America, England and the misguided efforts of slavery then this is a MUST have!
