Mari “M” Moreau

The marketing was scarier than the movie. I was so excited for this film, however, WEAPONS itself was not what I had hoped for. It's marketed as a horror film, but really it's a "comedy drama with supernatural elements", as someone put it perfectly. I liked how long the film was, it made the theater experience fun. But it was all jump scares. No tension, no dread, which I was hoping for. It's like when an animated movie spends too long with the non-animated human cast for too long and you're waiting for the animated main cast to come back.

Super fun movie! I had to see it again right after my first viewing. Often sequels are bad, but not here. The 1st and 2nd movie are both fantastic. The 1st was amazing, the second was was even BETTER!
