As an AC fan through and through, I was so excited to play this game. Unfortunately, it did not live up to the expectations of previous AC games from the past. After playing AC Valhalla and getting to know Basim, I was ready to see where he came from and how that shaped him into the character we saw in Valhalla. The story was lacking and I felt as though I didn’t enjoy any of the characters like I have in games past. The combat and climbing/parkour is NOTHING like previous games and was honestly one of the biggest let downs. There is nowhere close to the amount of chests and things to collect and sell and the fun of building an arsenal of weapons or outfits we saw in AC Origins was completely left out. The quests were very short and took no time to complete. As always, the visuals are stunning and the views are fantastic. Overall, I am unimpressed and disappointed with the overall quality and gameplay. We all know what potential AC games have, but AC Mirage definitely missed the mark.
