I'll start by saying that I'm a staunch Republican by today's standards. Trump voter. Realist. Anti-woke by any account. But also tolerant and willing to see past the bs. I deeply appreciate the warnings from the gaming community about the woke content in this game. I think without that, those scenes might have ruined this game for me. But they didn't, because I knew they were coming, and honestly, outside of Trash, the game does a good job of keeping that type of rhetoric subtle enough not to impact the experience. I just finished Veilguard, with the true ending, and I loved it. The graphics were astonishing. The character creation and on the fly customization was top notche. The story was excellent and, while I've played since Origin and can agree that the story content has lost depth in some areas, it gained it in others and I can also say that I was able to follow it and loved it for that. Honestly, this is one of the better games I've played. The romance was a little lackluster and late blooming, but the finale... Wow man. It was good. I'm taking the unpopular opinion road here and saying I strongly recommend Veilguard for anyone. The work that went into this is nothing short of incredible. It was polished. You feel powerful, connected, and you get to choose your own path. It's amazing what these guys have accomplished here. Yes, do some housecleaning, get the overly woke content that deteriorates immersion out of your games. Otherwise, keep doing what you're doing Bioware.
