Best Godzilla movie I have ever seen! The character driven plot really made this exceptional and the storytelling is really well done. It will tug the heart strings and WOW that's Seriously one mean Godzilla! Don't go into this thinking it's all about giant monsters fighting each other because it's not but that's actually a good thing here. The on screen destruction is impressive and Godzilla is portrayed as a devastating force of nature that can't be controlled. Excited to see more from these characters and filmmakers.

C+ It's major weakness is the action sequences and how they were filmed and edited. The beautiful dance like displays of martial arts from the previous films don't exist near that level here. If you go into this thinking it is simply a continuation of the series with most things being the same but with a different storyline and age, you will be let down. I enjoyed it even though it did feel off beat.It did not take itself too seriously which was refreshing. Keanu and Carrie Ann hold the ship together and kept me engaged throughout.
